Happy 53rd Victory Day!!!

It was probably my 9th/10th visit to Victory Park which is known in Russian as "Park Pabedi"..... The park is always packed with Muscovites enjoying the sun while roller-blading and riding around the huge expanse of the park during bright sunny spring summer days, but when it comes to windy snowy winter time, i bet nobody gonna spend their time walking there. Nevertheless hundreds or maybe thousands of newly married couple will come to this park no matter what season is, their tradition is to visit memorial spots during wedding day, in their wedding gowns and suits...

The main attraction of this park which has become one of the most important places for a Muslim is the Beautiful Mosque... Some of the boys will come here every friday to perform their Jumaat prayers.... it was a gift by the russian government to commemorate the muslim patriots in helping them during WW2. It is so called a Russian tradition marking military victories by establishing chapels. There are also a Russian Orthodox Church, and a synagogue within the park.

I have to say that my visit this time really brings a mixed up feeling... i've been here many times, and i'd been here for the 49th Victory day Celebration in 2004... but it was only yesterday when suddenly i felt into tears, looking at those veterans.... and it reminds me a lot of my late grandma who tried to save my mom's life during Zaman Penjajahan Jepun....
and that's why i took the opportunity to talk and to take photo with them... after all this maybe my last visit to Victory Park....
owh ya, in the picture below please don't bother to look at me, but have a look at those battalion of policeman behind me... i admire them all because of the uniform... ngah3...

everything happens for a reason

Birthday Myspace Glitter Graphics

8th May...
It is my blog's 1st year birthday.....

It was exactly a year ago tonight that I tiptoed onto the internet and, with a such questionable feeling, put up my first blog post. The blog had been named LOVE ME FOR WHO I AM, when I really think people should love someone for who he/she is, then there'll be no such thing like a deliberate intent to deceive or being untruth. There was a little secret why i started a blog, but it will forever gonna be a secret....

I didn’t tell anyone about my blog for months, it was my biggest secret that time. Once i told Han bout it but never give him the link cuz i'm not ready yet to let him read my feeling. My intention of writing this blog was to get myself happier and busier because at that time i was deeply in pain and depressed. This is supposed to be my love diary, that i was staying up late at night typing up new posts so that my roommie won't notice it. I started getting myself into business on october, during fasting month, writing about food and showing off the picture—it was sheer delight though no one reading my blog yet. It still is sheer delight however to write bout my daily routine, my shopping hobby, and everything i step into every day..., though I sometimes struggle to find the time I want for it.

Writing blog is the most enjoyable thing I do, by a long shot, and the impact this blog has had on my life continues to astound me. It is definitely one of the best things in my life. Not only have I been given a new passion and creative outlet, this blog and the food and the fashion blogging world has introduced me to incredible people—funny, friendly, sweet, humble, fantastic mothers, incredible doctor, and lotsa types of person. Some of them have become my dear friends—people who have enriched my life and made the journey even more pleasurable, and for this I am so grateful. This blog has made me becoming a better person....

Soon enough i will enter a new world.... and i am gonna be busy all the time that i really don't know wether i still can write everyday on this blog or not... but i will try my best to spend some time with u guys here... thanks a lot for being with me all the time and to make my life a lot more meaningful ....

Massad Dinner 2008

am i eligible enough to run for DARA magazine cover girl???

Today's Dream.... Tomorrow's memories.... MASSAD 2008

MASSAD---- stands for Malaysian Student's Annual Dinner.... the purpose of this event is to congregate Malaysian Student's currently studying in my university to enjoy each other's company in a more relaxed setting, as opposed for us to mingle amongst the seniors and juniors... The first MASSAD was in 2006, and the organizing committee introduced MASSAD as an avenue to bid the graduating students farewell... and they really did impressed me yesterday, the way they treated us, i can see the respect of my juniors towards us.... we'd been called name by name to the stage to receive a framed certificate... we even got the privilege to sit in the front table... and as for my table which cost 800 roubles for non-final years, we got it at only 600 roubles...

tudung dah terpenyek and terkebelakang la...

my heartiest congratulations to the organizing committee of MASSAD, they took all the challenge and the courage, they really learned from the previous2 MASSAD... needless to say how big trouble and difficulties they came across, but everything went smooth and beautifully yesterday... thanks to our health insurance company, Loid City for making our MASSAD Dinner such a succesful event ( the goodie beg was really nice )... also special thanks to Thai Airways, ASL Travels, and other parties and individuals that contributed their supports in term of money and everything..

we decided to wear pink as our theme that nite... the idea came out from elyn bcz she's a die-hard-fan of pink colour, and happened to be one of the dress that i bought online from e-bay (thanks to elyn for bringing it to moscow) is also pink, and Ceqsue would like to wear her pink jubah with pants... we persuade Han and Iqbal to wear the same colour no matter what... as Han doesn't has one yet, we tried looking for the pink tie and shirt at several boutiques and malls until we found the one...

we thought we'r gonna be the only person in pink that nite, we didn't see the probability of others to pick this colour but we were totally wrong.... lotsa people wore pink and that was actually quite disappointing for us... nonetheless, we enjoyed everyone's company that nite and i just love all the performances and food as well.... wow, my stomach really stuffed with all those Indian food u know...

me, Suria, Yati, CeqTie, Adel and CeqSue... the batchmate..

erina, me, CeqSue and Juani.... my supportive understanding buddies...

how i wish to stay here for another 1-2 year, so i could embrace myself with the student communities, participate in more events and functions, but the final call seems doesn't even give me the chance to do this any longer...

my first time

Tag Again!!!

i've been tagged by mummysyafie, bout my 5-first-times....

Syarat wajib dipatuhi:Bukan cerita rekaan dan tiada kena mengena dengan hidup orang lain. Perlu mengetag 5 lagi rakan blogger pilihan anda setelah anda di tag...

occay... these are my first times if u all wanna know...

pertama kali naik kenderaan tak muntah---- when i first got into my boarding school... sbbnye, nnt tiap2 bulan nak balik rumah kena naik bas dan taxi... huhu.... sebelum2 tu, tiap kali naik kereta ke bas, i will close my eyes tightly, pretend to sleep so that i won't feel like vomitting..

pertama kali dapat bunga sewaktu form 2.... bunga ros plastik je pon... ade one guy from the other class yang admire kat shieda, die nie sgt brutal, nakal dan bermasalah.... 2 months after the rose, he'd been expelled from the school atas tuduhan mencuri....

pertama kali makan ikan yang dibenci dan ditakuti masa tgh buat preparation di INTEC, UiTM Shah Alam... tertipu sbbnye tgk ade lauk ikan masak lemak cili api yang sangta sedap, dan rase mmg sangat sedap... tup2 my fren cakap tulah die ikan haruan.... huwaaaaaaaaaaa.... pastu termakan belut kat sushi pulak 4thn lepas, shieda tatau tu belut tapi sekarang dah takkisah, sbb rase belut sangat manis...

pertama kali kne marah dgn mak sampai kne rotan semasa darjah 2, sbb pakai minyak rambut abah banyak giler kat atas kepala sedangkan shieda punye rambut sangat nipis... huhu... kne tarik masuk dalam bilik air, dan pastu kepala kne berus dgn berus sabut... hikhik, mak shieda garang sangta masa kitorang kecik2 dulu, tapi sekarang bile anak2 dah besar sporting la sangat...

pertama kali jatuh cinta---- ini betol2 cinta pandang pertama... May 2002, INTEC... to whom tu, rasanya Si Dia maklum dah.... hehe... bermula daripada tu sampai sekarang shieda percaya pada kewujudan cinta pandang pertama....

okla, takmo la tag sesapa... sebab takut2 ramai orang dilanda demam M sekarang ni... hehe... occay then. Happy weekend!!!

Let's Sushi

I heart Japanese Cuisine.

it never came across my mind that one day i'll fancy sushi more than anything else... i found it very authentic and mysterious, yet our task to dig in the secret behind sushi....... ya, as everybody knows Sushi is one of the first things that would pop into anyone’s mind when Japan is mentioned. It is, after all, one of the best- and most-presented Japanese dishes with all the different colors and ingredients that go into making it.

i tried to do uramaki today, differ from the normal rolls because the rice stay outside while the nori/seaweed inside... i bet u all must heard bout California Rolls, and i really did it today... the truth is i've been trying to roll my uramaki since last year but each time the end result really frustrating... but today after spending some time learning from youtube,
i felt so happy with my california rolls...

these are the list types of sushi i'd been making today:
1/ Tekka Maki ( Tuna Rolls)
2/ Cucumber Rolls
3/ Crab Rolls
4/ California Rolls
5/ Cucumber-Crab Rolls
6/ Temaki – These are cone-shaped seaweed rolls also called a hand roll
7/ Salmon Nigiri Sushi

Ingredients for Your Rolls
You’ll need some equipment if you’re making sushi for the first time. If finding the supplies and ingredients at your nearest supermarket is difficult, try looking in an Asian or Japanese food store in the area.
Before anything, find yourself a sushi roll mat. They’re made of thin bamboo sticks that are bound together into a flexible mat. Also, prepare a sushi knife (but any good, sharp knife in the kitchen works, too), a cutting board, a wood spoon, and some plastic wrap.
For the ingredients for California rolls, you need some sticky rice prepared in the style for sushi (be particular about getting Japanese rice because it has the sticky consistency you need), a pack of nori wrapper (crisp, dark green squares of seaweed), some rice vinegar, a fairly big cucumber, a couple of avocados (or mangos, if you prefer them), crab sticks, tuna, and mayonnaise.

when these things are ready, only then u can start making your own sushi....

this is actually my 4th time making sushi and rolls.... and i find that making Sushi is actually very easy for the experts, but u must be really patient if u'r just a beginner. after all making sushi is everything bout fun and creative... That coupled with the fact that it is full of incredible nutrients, low in calories, and tastes delicious, there is no doubt that Sushi will become your next favorite food.

Big Day!!!

last weekend i'd been studying non stop and i need a lil break.. so on the saturday noon, Ceqsue and i went to Arbat Prestij to look for new stuff... she completed her make up set already, and now all she's looking for is just a nice bag to put her makeup thingy... and me myself, i just bought new perfume and a bottle of hair spray, to set my hair in the room... haha, the truth is i am soo jealous looking at other people's curl hair... for the last 2 month i've been treating my hair with henna, and seems my lil work shows the result...and now all i want is slightly curly hair... i just bought an electric hair curler, which oso can be used as hair straightener if i take out the roller... believe it or not, it is only 89 roubles = RM 11.50 lebih kurang... hehe...

and on Sunday noon, i went out to European Center Mall with Hannan and Elyn.... it was really a big long day.... unfortunately hannan couldn't find what he likes best... still he bought me a bouquet of roses.... i asked for 3 only, but he gave me a surprise by making it 7.... i am sooo touched... we bought new shirt for baby gurl, and this time we oso bought a red satin pantie for her...
we had our brunch at our most favourite dining restaurant, Grabli.... and these were mine... hehe, i bought air cermai, two types of danish pastries, terung gulung, and a bowl of fruit salad...
