sorotan sepanjang minggu....

Monday-Tuesday
had a very pleasant time during the fan-festival of the final Champions League... bought a Man.Utd muffler for my aunt, and managed to grab few free gifts..... and i did pick a wrong top for the day, blue colour as if i'm one of the Chelsea fans... huhu.... plus this top really made me look bubbly than usual....

Wednesday
Made karipap pusing for the game that night..... prepared 3 different types of filling, the simple potatoe filling, potatoe-meat filling, and sardine....
Thursday
bla-bla-bla....... my first trial of making Cupcakes.... i made Vanilla Cuppies, and topped with some butter icing.... the photo quality not so good la, huhu....

Friday
Satay project..... with the extra pairs of hand, everything done in less than 2 hours (from the cutting, marinating, "cucuk"ing, and cooking the Kuah Kacang)

Saturday
Our big day..... BBQ indoor.... i'll post more of the pics later...
and later that evening, i went to Rosinka to visit Dr.Yunos and family...

Sunday
Laksa Penang and Mojitto time at Rosinka!!!
- brought back some laksa for Hannan, and surprisingly he finished them all.... i still remember once during our first year becinta....(uhuk...uhuk), i made him Laksa Penang because i was so jealous he did puji one of this senior masak Laksa yg sedap.... but at that time, i'd no idea how should this laksa taste, i've never ever been a laksa fan, even Laksa Johor i hardly can tell how does it taste.... and my laksa that time must be a real disaster as everything came out from his stomach soon after he finished his plate... and i made myself clear that "me and laksa"- we'll never ever be good fren...

- but perhaps since he did compliment me on this laksa, i should try cook some more and maybe Laksa Johor....

Monday
Chicken Pie time!!!
i had 16 orders all together from my frens.... and tell ya the truth, i was superb busy.... making chicken pie can be fun, but seriously really tiring.... and Chicken Pie is not a good choice for business and making money.... this is not a matter of the energy needed and wasted, but of the cost of the ingredients thing... maybe if people willing to buy at a higher price, i will do this business again...

and these are among the feedbacks that i received..

chanaz =]: salam kak shieda...
chanaz =]: pie sedap...
chanaz =]: =)
chanaz =]: nnt klo buat lg habaq mai la..
chanaz =]: org mahu bli lg..
chanaz =]: =)

hAnaN Azmi: hanan rasa sedap
hAnaN Azmi: hehehehhe
hAnaN Azmi: best la kak shieda

hAnaN Azmi: rugi sape x beli
hAnaN Azmi: (bukan ayat bodek)

and later that nite, i worked hard on my revision thing...

Tuesday
Pau Kacang Merah and Dorayaki Doraemon!!!

i got a total 10 set orders for Pau ( and that means i need to make 30 bijik Pau, hehe.... ).... while for Dorayaki only 2 orders ( 6 bijik)....

and antara review pembeli...

izne : kak shieda...!!!!
izne: sangat sedap la....
izne : bile lagi nak buat nie.... org nak order lagi la....

well, actually i lost my favourite recipe for pau.... and that morning i need to work on another recipe for the dough.... thank God it was soft and gebu, only not that putih as my previous recipe... but still i need my old recipe... and i'm hoping that i could find it later... the main problem now is, that recipe was written only on a small paper, and i am afraid i might have throw it away... huhu....

and for the lunch, i made some nasi himpit with kuah lodeh.... no sambal tumis because i still had some Sambal Kacang left from the satay...

Wednesday-Friday
study time.... plus keluar kejap2 untuk cari barang and beli baju souvenir from the Champions League....

my MCQs exam gonna be on this 6th.... there are more than 2K (2000) of questions to deal with from different fields.... and i'm working my nerve, my brain, my stomach and my everything for this...
then after the MCQs, i'm gonna have practical exam or "attestatsia".... this will be on 16th june..
while the true final exam, the finale will be on 21st june....

badan dah tua

yeayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

Man.Utd won!!!! biar apepon corak permainan diorang, yg penting kemenangan tu milik mereka.... i missed the moment when ronaldo scored, but after the half time, i glued my ass on the carpet watching every seconds of the game.... i wish to write more and give comments on their performance but i am nobody to this football world, and just let the experts do the honour k....

skipped my elective today, huhu..... lazy me... but i couldn't help myself, when the "M" (malas) disease attacks me, i can be a completely different person.... the worst part was i spent my entire morning at Ashan Hypermarket to do groceries alone... ngah3....

later that evening, i was kneading two different dough to make karipap pusing... and as for the filling, i prepared 3 types which is the normal plain kentang filling, inti kentang dan daging, dan juga sardine filling... these supposed to be our snacks while watching Mn.Utd playing Chelsea as hannan invited 3-4 people to come....

and now, i was totally exhausted.... thought of going to bed early instead of watching the game, but to hear the voices came from the next building shouting loud "Udar!!!!" ( Goal!!!) make me forced myself to stay alive a lil bit longer until the game finish...i was yawning non-stop, and few times tersengguk2, yet i made it till the cup giving ceremony.... and, for now, i better get off my blog, take a good sleep and rest, and tomorrow i am gonna wake up fresh and alive.......... nanait ya all...

weekend story

this is the new member of my make-up station... like the colour so much, and it was on sale!!!

i made Pau Kacang Merah on the friday evening before went to Cik Yun's house... the texture was excellent, only that a bit tawar because i cut down the sugar in the inti... and put less amount of sugar and salt to the dough... here is the photo taken by hannan.... the one in the middle a bit cacat la...

went back home yesterday, and had to attend a birthday party of my fren.... i was pretty late, but for the sake of frenship thing i made my way there.... but i cudn't stay long, because i felt quite uncomfortable having party without hannan... (adeke patut jadikan alasan... hehe)... no lah, actually i was very tired from Cik Yun's house and i seriously need a rest... but later that nite, i bake some tuna cheese bread.... well, let's say my bread tak jadi because the dough didn't rise at all..... still after came out from the oven, we enjoyed eating it....

and today, i watched the famous Swan Lake (Ballet musical theatre) at The State Kremlin Palace(Государственный Кремлёвский Дворец).... this is actually a large modern building inside the Moscow Kremlin... i am sure hannan gonna write more about it later, so let me just write some synopsis bout the story all about...

it is about a princess spelled into swan by a wizard... she is a swan in the day, and will transform into human during night... and there was a prince who went hunting in the jungle, suddenly saw this swan change into a beautiful young princess... they fell in love... unfortunately the wizard was looking after the princess swan every minute, he decided to put her into a big cage, and made a clone of that princess... blablabla..... it was a happy ending story, the wizard got struck by lightning, and the couple live happily ever after....

after the ballet, we went for a walk arond Kremlin.. Tulips season is not ending yet.... so me and hannan gonna come here again tomorrow after our elective....

A Blessed Beautiful Day

ooops, before anything i need to mention i still don't have the time to bloghop and i am now very deeply missing u all... and the story starts------<@

woke up early this morning with thousands of butterflies in my stomach.... i hate the queasiness, the nervousness inside me.... how i wish to just come to school, study, complete the assignments, mix around and make up new frens, meet various types of people without having this so called test or exam.... i kinda like having exams when i was young studying in school, but when it comes to higher level, the challenge is much2 bigger.... apart from the written examination, where i was only supposed to darken the "A", "B", "C", "D", or "E", here it needs me to face the examiner... they don't mark me based on what i had written on that paper, everything will be evaluated from my words... whether i am sure or not with the answer, whether i get stucked and black-out while figuring out the right way to answer plus to build up the correct grammatical sentences in russian, it has become the music and lyrics of my life over the past 5 years and 8 months living and studying in moscow...

sometimes people are just so lucky to be exempted from exams, but some really deserves it for all the hard work and the best effort they put in studies... actually not every lecturers gonna give this special treats to their students, and almost all my lecturers really not kind of this... we are not the black sheep yet we always get the tough, very "Skema", very "The Garang" and they got us into a mess, these are the one that we will never forget.... while some others are very hardworking, dedicative and pleasant to deal with and they gave us joy while studying... but no matter who and what is my lecturers, they are for no doubt the bestest best among all... ... God Blessed me and i thanked him for that...

well... well... well...

i have a good news to share, i couldn't wait to tell from the moment i heard the words.... I was actually exempted from Pharmacology today... i didn't expected it at all, indeed was very busy revising and studying until i gave up last nite.. and all i wanna do is just to vomit everything out and get done... i was very nervous and couldn't take the pressure no more, everyone still discussing this and that, and i felt like i forgot everything, like i know nothing on Drugs... we were all worried because won't be given time to prepare in a papersheet. we have to think, recall and answer everything spontaneously in front of the lecturer, and i this is really the worst nightmare before entering the real practise...

but then, when she total up our points upon the previous and this semester performances in class, plus all the assignments and test-control, i managed to get the required points to be freed together with another 3 classmates... i was speechless for a moment, Alhamdulillah that's all i can say... while the rests actually might also get, but becase of 1-2 points short, they have to undergo thru the nightmare, but they did it very well and i am really proud of them...

Bee-Zee day...

i am dropping by to my own blog today and to write just a short brief post... tomorrow i'll be having Pharmacology Paper, and this not gonna be an easy one because the examiner is also my lecturer... she must be expecting the best from the students... and i know how particular she is with our answers during class... so, no bloghopping today and for the unreplied messages i am very2 sorry...

and FYI, i did occay in my previous Tuberculosis paper last wednesday... i didn't get the best mark, yet it was not the worst one... thank God for it...

ok then, bubbye for now...

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all moms in the world... especially to my beloved Mak, my 3 beloved sisters, Mama and Kak Tini, and to anybody so called ibu, mommy, mak, mama and etc...

oops, i really think i need to introduce u all with Kak Tini... she's Hannan's SIL, a wife to the eldest bro, a mom to a beautiful sweet princess (Imah) and an adorable cute son (Umar)... i am missing them all terribly here... owh ya, Imah and i really good frens, we talk a lot, we share our keens and dislikes.... she's kinda naughty but she's really a bright girl... U can always visit this blog ^_____^ if u wanna know more about them...

occay, i didn't go out today, yesterday was really tiring and i haven't touch my assignment yet, plus i really need to do some homework reading the pharmacological books because i'm sooo gonna have pharmacology paper this wednesday... i finally finished my assignment in the afternoon... and my stomach was crying out loud for food.... i couldn't remember when is the last time i had rice, probably last week maybe... this happened when my darling said that he can now live without rice.... nothing else make me happier than i can have pasta, spaghetti, bread, pizza, salads and all sorts of food except rice... but after sometimes, i know that malaysians really can't be separated from eating rice and so do i... i am craving for nasi lemak... nasi kerabu... nasi dagang... nasi minyak,... and sume jenis nasi with the lauk pauk... so, for the lunch @ dinner today, i cooked Basmathi rice, Udang Galah Masak Lemak Cili Api, sayur Kacang Sepat dan carrot goreng, plus Cendawan Goreng...

As u can see in the above picture, we actually bought the XXL sized Tiger Prawns.... we were looking for the same one but inside the box, imported from Thailand ( bought it several times already ) but not available anymore and all we got is in the plastic packet... nonetheless we found it much better quality, Bigger and the sweetness is still there... maybe some of u wonder why do we need to waste money on this kind of prawn, because the small one is much cheaper..... it is simple, the small one doesn't really taste fresh, and the small one can always trigger asthma in Hannan... the Tiger Prawn is much better not only because of the freshness, they seem not to evoke any allergic reaction, so i don't need to buy Cloratadine or Suprastin or any other antihistamine....

ok guys, i'm going to bed soon, see u guys tomorrow ok...

^^^pewot masih kekenyangan makan nasik yang sangat banyak...^^^

PICNIC STORY

yea.... it was my 2nd picnic this spring-summer season... and this time hannan and me joined a group of our Chinese frens.... plus an indian as well... what can u say more bout Malaysian rite?? a multiracial community... yet we live happily, and enjoy each others company...

actually the weather was not that good for outdoor activity, but everything had been prepared, the food had been cooked, and everyone was really looking for it... so, despite of the cold we walked our way to the park...

there were heap of food... FYI, i cooked nothing, instead Han made his special Chicken wings.... and there were also 2 types of Meehoon, Chinese Fried Rice, Chinese Fried Noodles, Cheesecake as the dessert, hot Coffee, Sardine Sandwiches, plus the Energy Vit C drinks...

i stuffed my stomach until one time when i felt like vomitting.... seriously i ate really a lot, and i tasted every single food....

someone brought a ball, and they all wanted to play with it... we went to the court not knowing it is sandy, and that's it.... Beach Volleyball in the Saturday evening... i am not very good at sport so i just enjoyed watching them play with another Russian...

after spending almost 4-5 hours at the park, we just realized that everybody was actually very tired and most of us need the toilet desperately.... we packed our things and walked slowly home...

Happy 53rd Victory Day!!!

It was probably my 9th/10th visit to Victory Park which is known in Russian as "Park Pabedi"..... The park is always packed with Muscovites enjoying the sun while roller-blading and riding around the huge expanse of the park during bright sunny spring summer days, but when it comes to windy snowy winter time, i bet nobody gonna spend their time walking there. Nevertheless hundreds or maybe thousands of newly married couple will come to this park no matter what season is, their tradition is to visit memorial spots during wedding day, in their wedding gowns and suits...

The main attraction of this park which has become one of the most important places for a Muslim is the Beautiful Mosque... Some of the boys will come here every friday to perform their Jumaat prayers.... it was a gift by the russian government to commemorate the muslim patriots in helping them during WW2. It is so called a Russian tradition marking military victories by establishing chapels. There are also a Russian Orthodox Church, and a synagogue within the park.

I have to say that my visit this time really brings a mixed up feeling... i've been here many times, and i'd been here for the 49th Victory day Celebration in 2004... but it was only yesterday when suddenly i felt into tears, looking at those veterans.... and it reminds me a lot of my late grandma who tried to save my mom's life during Zaman Penjajahan Jepun....
and that's why i took the opportunity to talk and to take photo with them... after all this maybe my last visit to Victory Park....
owh ya, in the picture below please don't bother to look at me, but have a look at those battalion of policeman behind me... i admire them all because of the uniform... ngah3...

everything happens for a reason

Birthday Myspace Glitter Graphics

8th May...
It is my blog's 1st year birthday.....

It was exactly a year ago tonight that I tiptoed onto the internet and, with a such questionable feeling, put up my first blog post. The blog had been named LOVE ME FOR WHO I AM, when I really think people should love someone for who he/she is, then there'll be no such thing like a deliberate intent to deceive or being untruth. There was a little secret why i started a blog, but it will forever gonna be a secret....

I didn’t tell anyone about my blog for months, it was my biggest secret that time. Once i told Han bout it but never give him the link cuz i'm not ready yet to let him read my feeling. My intention of writing this blog was to get myself happier and busier because at that time i was deeply in pain and depressed. This is supposed to be my love diary, that i was staying up late at night typing up new posts so that my roommie won't notice it. I started getting myself into business on october, during fasting month, writing about food and showing off the picture—it was sheer delight though no one reading my blog yet. It still is sheer delight however to write bout my daily routine, my shopping hobby, and everything i step into every day..., though I sometimes struggle to find the time I want for it.

Writing blog is the most enjoyable thing I do, by a long shot, and the impact this blog has had on my life continues to astound me. It is definitely one of the best things in my life. Not only have I been given a new passion and creative outlet, this blog and the food and the fashion blogging world has introduced me to incredible people—funny, friendly, sweet, humble, fantastic mothers, incredible doctor, and lotsa types of person. Some of them have become my dear friends—people who have enriched my life and made the journey even more pleasurable, and for this I am so grateful. This blog has made me becoming a better person....

Soon enough i will enter a new world.... and i am gonna be busy all the time that i really don't know wether i still can write everyday on this blog or not... but i will try my best to spend some time with u guys here... thanks a lot for being with me all the time and to make my life a lot more meaningful ....

Massad Dinner 2008

am i eligible enough to run for DARA magazine cover girl???

Today's Dream.... Tomorrow's memories.... MASSAD 2008

MASSAD---- stands for Malaysian Student's Annual Dinner.... the purpose of this event is to congregate Malaysian Student's currently studying in my university to enjoy each other's company in a more relaxed setting, as opposed for us to mingle amongst the seniors and juniors... The first MASSAD was in 2006, and the organizing committee introduced MASSAD as an avenue to bid the graduating students farewell... and they really did impressed me yesterday, the way they treated us, i can see the respect of my juniors towards us.... we'd been called name by name to the stage to receive a framed certificate... we even got the privilege to sit in the front table... and as for my table which cost 800 roubles for non-final years, we got it at only 600 roubles...

tudung dah terpenyek and terkebelakang la...

my heartiest congratulations to the organizing committee of MASSAD, they took all the challenge and the courage, they really learned from the previous2 MASSAD... needless to say how big trouble and difficulties they came across, but everything went smooth and beautifully yesterday... thanks to our health insurance company, Loid City for making our MASSAD Dinner such a succesful event ( the goodie beg was really nice )... also special thanks to Thai Airways, ASL Travels, and other parties and individuals that contributed their supports in term of money and everything..

we decided to wear pink as our theme that nite... the idea came out from elyn bcz she's a die-hard-fan of pink colour, and happened to be one of the dress that i bought online from e-bay (thanks to elyn for bringing it to moscow) is also pink, and Ceqsue would like to wear her pink jubah with pants... we persuade Han and Iqbal to wear the same colour no matter what... as Han doesn't has one yet, we tried looking for the pink tie and shirt at several boutiques and malls until we found the one...

we thought we'r gonna be the only person in pink that nite, we didn't see the probability of others to pick this colour but we were totally wrong.... lotsa people wore pink and that was actually quite disappointing for us... nonetheless, we enjoyed everyone's company that nite and i just love all the performances and food as well.... wow, my stomach really stuffed with all those Indian food u know...

me, Suria, Yati, CeqTie, Adel and CeqSue... the batchmate..

erina, me, CeqSue and Juani.... my supportive understanding buddies...

how i wish to stay here for another 1-2 year, so i could embrace myself with the student communities, participate in more events and functions, but the final call seems doesn't even give me the chance to do this any longer...

my first time

Tag Again!!!

i've been tagged by mummysyafie, bout my 5-first-times....

Syarat wajib dipatuhi:Bukan cerita rekaan dan tiada kena mengena dengan hidup orang lain. Perlu mengetag 5 lagi rakan blogger pilihan anda setelah anda di tag...

occay... these are my first times if u all wanna know...

pertama kali naik kenderaan tak muntah---- when i first got into my boarding school... sbbnye, nnt tiap2 bulan nak balik rumah kena naik bas dan taxi... huhu.... sebelum2 tu, tiap kali naik kereta ke bas, i will close my eyes tightly, pretend to sleep so that i won't feel like vomitting..

pertama kali dapat bunga sewaktu form 2.... bunga ros plastik je pon... ade one guy from the other class yang admire kat shieda, die nie sgt brutal, nakal dan bermasalah.... 2 months after the rose, he'd been expelled from the school atas tuduhan mencuri....

pertama kali makan ikan yang dibenci dan ditakuti masa tgh buat preparation di INTEC, UiTM Shah Alam... tertipu sbbnye tgk ade lauk ikan masak lemak cili api yang sangta sedap, dan rase mmg sangat sedap... tup2 my fren cakap tulah die ikan haruan.... huwaaaaaaaaaaa.... pastu termakan belut kat sushi pulak 4thn lepas, shieda tatau tu belut tapi sekarang dah takkisah, sbb rase belut sangat manis...

pertama kali kne marah dgn mak sampai kne rotan semasa darjah 2, sbb pakai minyak rambut abah banyak giler kat atas kepala sedangkan shieda punye rambut sangat nipis... huhu... kne tarik masuk dalam bilik air, dan pastu kepala kne berus dgn berus sabut... hikhik, mak shieda garang sangta masa kitorang kecik2 dulu, tapi sekarang bile anak2 dah besar sporting la sangat...

pertama kali jatuh cinta---- ini betol2 cinta pandang pertama... May 2002, INTEC... to whom tu, rasanya Si Dia maklum dah.... hehe... bermula daripada tu sampai sekarang shieda percaya pada kewujudan cinta pandang pertama....

okla, takmo la tag sesapa... sebab takut2 ramai orang dilanda demam M sekarang ni... hehe... occay then. Happy weekend!!!

Let's Sushi

I heart Japanese Cuisine.

it never came across my mind that one day i'll fancy sushi more than anything else... i found it very authentic and mysterious, yet our task to dig in the secret behind sushi....... ya, as everybody knows Sushi is one of the first things that would pop into anyone’s mind when Japan is mentioned. It is, after all, one of the best- and most-presented Japanese dishes with all the different colors and ingredients that go into making it.

i tried to do uramaki today, differ from the normal rolls because the rice stay outside while the nori/seaweed inside... i bet u all must heard bout California Rolls, and i really did it today... the truth is i've been trying to roll my uramaki since last year but each time the end result really frustrating... but today after spending some time learning from youtube,
i felt so happy with my california rolls...

these are the list types of sushi i'd been making today:
1/ Tekka Maki ( Tuna Rolls)
2/ Cucumber Rolls
3/ Crab Rolls
4/ California Rolls
5/ Cucumber-Crab Rolls
6/ Temaki – These are cone-shaped seaweed rolls also called a hand roll
7/ Salmon Nigiri Sushi

Ingredients for Your Rolls
You’ll need some equipment if you’re making sushi for the first time. If finding the supplies and ingredients at your nearest supermarket is difficult, try looking in an Asian or Japanese food store in the area.
Before anything, find yourself a sushi roll mat. They’re made of thin bamboo sticks that are bound together into a flexible mat. Also, prepare a sushi knife (but any good, sharp knife in the kitchen works, too), a cutting board, a wood spoon, and some plastic wrap.
For the ingredients for California rolls, you need some sticky rice prepared in the style for sushi (be particular about getting Japanese rice because it has the sticky consistency you need), a pack of nori wrapper (crisp, dark green squares of seaweed), some rice vinegar, a fairly big cucumber, a couple of avocados (or mangos, if you prefer them), crab sticks, tuna, and mayonnaise.

when these things are ready, only then u can start making your own sushi....

this is actually my 4th time making sushi and rolls.... and i find that making Sushi is actually very easy for the experts, but u must be really patient if u'r just a beginner. after all making sushi is everything bout fun and creative... That coupled with the fact that it is full of incredible nutrients, low in calories, and tastes delicious, there is no doubt that Sushi will become your next favorite food.
